The World Food Programme can rely on the Sudan to solve the food problem
The World Food Programme (WFP) has designated the Sudan as one of the countries that can be relied upon to resolve the projected global food crisis. The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning has expressed its readiness to cooperate with WFP to build strategic partnerships to contribute to solving the global food problem by employing natural resources with the comparative advantages available in the Sudan.
Djibril Ibrahim, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, during his meeting with the Director of Strategic Partnerships of the World Food Programme (WFP), Mr. Bruma Mr. Astanelec Svecja, confirmed the Government’s interest in enhancing opportunities for cooperation with WFP to achieve the common goal of addressing the anticipated food crisis.
He noted the importance of WFP’s role in attracting external funding to achieve the desired goal.
The Director of Strategic Partnerships said that the World Food Programme (WFP) was interested in solving the food problem from countries that could be relied upon to solve the food problem that threatened the stability of global food security.
