A common plant “causes” a significant reduction in blood sugar!
Diabetes occurs when the body is unable to break down glucose levels, and the condition requires careful management to maintain overall health.
Before going into diabetes management, it is important to ascertain the two types of disease, type I and II. Type 1 diabetes occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys cells that produce insulin. At the same time, the second type is when the body does not produce enough insulin, or when the body’s cells do not interact with insulin.
Type 2 diabetes is easier to manage than type 1 diabetes, and diet is one of the most effective ways to do so.
However, some foods are better than others for people with diabetes.
According to a study by Gezira University, onions are one of the most effective ways to reduce blood sugar levels.
The study, published in Environ Health Insights, concluded that onions “caused significant reductions in blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.” The researchers concluded that onions “can be used as a dietary supplement in the management of type I and/or type II diabetes.”
It is important to note that this does not mean that diabetics must flood their diet with onions in order to lower their glucose levels.
Furthermore, more research on onions is needed before a concrete result is reached, while another study found that a common consumer of muscle building may be effective in managing type 2 diabetes.
Researchers from Newcastle University found that drinking a small amount of whey protein before meals can help people manage diabetes.
In a statement, Dr. Daniel West, University of Newcastle, said: “While previous studies in the laboratory over a few hours have shown the potential for this nutritional intervention, this is the first time people have been monitored for their normal lives. We believe that whey protein works in two ways, first, by slowing down the speed of food passing through the digestive tract and second, by stimulating the number of important hormones that prevent high blood sugar. “
