Increased cholera infection rates in Khartoum and Gedaref

On Sunday, a government official from the Ministry of Health revealed an increase in cholera infection rates in the capital Khartoum and the eastern state of Qadarif.

The Director of the Emergency Department of the Ministry of Health, Muntasser Mohamed Osman, said in a press release that cholera cases in Gedaref State amounted to 408, including 23 deaths. ”

He noted that cholera suspects in the capital Khartoum amounted to 539, of which 35 were fatalities.
