The Council of Ministers directs the governors to campaigns to combat disease vectors
The Minister of Cabinet Affairs, charged with conducting the functions of Prime Minister Osman Hussein, directed the states to take practical measures to address the country’s health situation and reduce the spread of water diarrhoea (cholera) and dengue fever by launching an environmental sanitation and hygiene campaign and combating flies and mosquitoes and sanitizing drinking water to reduce the spread of disease vectors.
This is in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and the intensification of information across all agencies and media in the states to raise citizens’ awareness and disseminate health guidelines for the prevention of diseases.
The directive was issued following the meeting of the Minister of Cabinet Affairs with the Federal Minister of Health. Haytham Mohamed Ibrahim in the presence of Minister of Information and Culture D. Graham Abdelkader.
