Al Hadi Idris and the Kuwaiti Ambassador discuss bilateral relations in various fields
Member of the Transitional Sovereign Council Dr. El Hadi Idris commended Kuwait’s positions in support of the Sudan, especially during the rainy and flood seasons that affected citizens in many states of the country.
He praised D ‘ During his meeting with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Sudan, Mr. Fahad Machari Al-Zafiri, the Kuwaiti leadership, Government and people stood with the Sudan and provided relief support through Kuwaiti charitable associations and organizations.
Ambassador Fahad al-Zafiri said in a press statement that the meeting touched on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries as well as reviewing files of mutual interest and ways to develop them, especially in economic, development and relief aspects.
Noting that the Kuwaiti Patient Care Fund was travelling a convoy three days ago to the states of Al Jazeera and Sennar with a load of 70 tons of relief and food assistance.
The Kuwaiti ambassador added that the meeting addressed the need for Kuwaiti investments to contribute to the support and development of the Sudan during the critical circumstances it is experiencing, stressing the readiness of the Kuwaiti public and private sectors to enter into investment after settling some outstanding files.
Ambassador Al-Zafiri said his country was ready to discuss the projects of loans, grants and assistance to support the Sudan during this transitional phase.
The Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society was in the process of establishing and building a model orphan’s village, the details of which would be examined with the competent authorities in the Sudan.
On the political side, Al-Zafiri reiterated Kuwait’s support for the position agreed upon by the Sudanese during the transitional period, noting that the people of the Sudan had maturity and realization that they could cross their country to safety.
