British Ambassador in Khartoum visits El Fasher

The British Ambassador in Khartoum, Mr. Giles Lever, arrived in El Fasher on a first-ever visit to Darfur to understand the challenges on the ground and to reaffirm the United Kingdom’s commitment to supporting Sudan’s democratic transition.

Stressing the importance of everyone’s participation in the transition process, the Ambassador said: “This is my first visit to Darfur, I am pleased to finally be here and look forward to an integrated programme.
