Egyptian consul: Sudanese in Egypt are citizens
Egyptian Consul General Tamer Munir said in press releases that Sudanese in Egypt were not a community but citizens with the same rights and duties and that the consulate was facilitating procedures for all visa applicants free of charge to Sudanese brothers, warning of mediators.
Consul Tamer reiterated his country’s welcome to the Framework Agreement and expressed the hope that it would produce a stable transitional government.
The Consul General also stated that Egypt’s call for a Sudanese/Sudanese dialogue comes away from pressure to support national consensus. “
“I am assured that the relationship between the two countries cannot be adversely affected no matter how the systems change and whatever the saboteurs try to muddy them,” he said.
“I greatly appreciate the good reception that has been received and so the Sudanese people are welcoming and generous.”
