Kabashi meets French Special Envoy for Horn of Africa

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Shams El-Din Kabbashi Ibrahim, affirmed Sudan’s keenness to strengthen and develop relations with France and develop prospects for joint cooperation with it, in various fields, for the Sudan’s benefit from the new French strategy towards Africa, which was proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron on February 27.

During his meeting at the Presidential Palace with the France special envoy for the Horn of Africa, Mr. Frederic Clavi, all issues of common concern between Khartoum and Paris, in addition to issues of security and stability in the Horn of Africa, and the situation in Chad, Central Africa, Libya and South Sudan.

Regarding developments in the political situation in the country, General Kabashi renewed the Armed Forces commitment to the ongoing political process, and its keenness to reach an agreement with all parties on outstanding issues, in preparation for the signing of the final agreement and the formation of the civil government, indicating that the armed forces have a spirit of flexibility and responsibility towards what preserves the security and stability of the country and achieves the citizens’ welfare.
