President of the Sovereign Council commends the strength of Sudanese-Saudi relations

The President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, General Abdul Fatah al-Burhan, praised the durability of Sudanese-Saudi relations as strategic and strong.

During his meeting on the margins of his participation in the Green Middle East Summit in Sharm el-Sheikh in its second edition, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, affirmed Sudan’s willingness to promote and strengthen mutual cooperation between the two countries in all fields in order to achieve the interests and aspirations of the two peoples.

The President of the Council said that his participation in the Green Middle East Summit came at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, stressing Sudan’s support for all that would make the initiative of the Green Middle East Summit successful and implement its objectives.

On his part, the Saudi Crown Prince affirmed his country’s desire to stabilize the Sudan and support cooperation and partnership with the Sudan in all fields, noting the establishment of an investment fund in a number of countries, including the Sudan. “3 billion dollars will be pumped into the Fund’s projects in Sudan, followed by other payments, as part of the Saudi Public Investment Fund plan in line with the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030.

The meeting reviewed prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries and opportunities for its development in various fields.
