President of the Sovereign Council confirms Sudan’s desire to develop and develop its relations with the Kingdom of norway
The President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, General Abdul Fatah al-Burhan, reaffirmed Sudan’s desire to strengthen its relations with the Kingdom of Norway in the interest of the two friendly peoples. It promotes prospects for joint cooperation.
This came when he met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Sudan, Teresa Loken Gazelle, on the occasion of the end of her tenure in the Sudan.
The President of the Sovereign Council thanked and appreciated the positions of the Kingdom of Norway in support of the Sudan and its efforts to assign the country’s peace process to a secure and stable Sudan.
He reaffirmed the military’s assurances of withdrawal from the political process.
He called on the parties and the forces of the revolution to come together to form a civilian government to manage the remaining transitional period and to complete the remaining transitional institutions in preparation for free and fair elections by the end of the transition.
Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan thanked the Norwegian Ambassador for her role in developing bilateral relations and advancing areas of cooperation between the Sudan and the Kingdom of Norway.
For its part, the Ambassador of Norway stated in a press statement that the meeting was an opportunity to talk about diplomatic relations between Khartoum and Oslo, stressing that they are distinct and sophisticated relations, pointing to the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in different fields.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway expressed the hope that the Sudan would enjoy security, stability and development.
