Signing the Executive Programme of the Convention between the Sudan and Kuwait

Today, Kuwait signed the implementation programme of the agreement signed between the Sudanese and Kuwaiti sides in 2021.

The Sudanese side signed the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Osman Hussein Osman, and the Director of the Arab Planning Institute, Dr. Badr Mallah. The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers and his accompanying delegation met with the Director of the Arab Planning Institute during his current visit to Kuwait.

The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers affirmed in a press release the robustness and depth of Sudan’s relations with Kuwait and its development in various fields, stating the importance of the role of Kuwait’s development and economic institutions in helping the Sudan to move beyond the stage.

“The signing of the Executive Programme comes within the framework of joint cooperation between the two countries and puts into effect specialized programmes in the areas of capacity-building, advisory work, development planning and administrative development that the Sudan seeks to develop by absorbing all new variables in the country in all respects.”

For his part, “The meeting with the Sudanese delegation was very fruitful and a number of priorities were agreed. The Arab Planning Institute provides multiple development services.” In accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed one year ago in Kuwait with the Government of the Sudan, the Institute will study the administrative needs of the Sudan. “

In addition, Mr. Secretary General of the Council of Ministers and his accompanying delegation met with Mr. Khaled Abdul Sahab Mahdi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Strategic Planning and Development.

The meeting discussed the framework of joint cooperation in the areas of development planning and exchange of experiences and experiences in order to strengthen fraternal and strategic relations and deepen communication between the two countries.

Mr. Osman Hussein also met with Mr. Abdulaziz Al Obaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sudanese Kuwaiti Hotel Company, and discussed with him the promotion of investment opportunities in this area and the enhancement of their performance so as to enable the development of a partnership with the Sudan.
