Spokesman for the Egypt’s Cabinet spokesman denies freezing of Egyptian initiative

The official spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, denied what was reported about his country’s freezing of its initiative towards the Sudan’s crisis.

He said in a press conference on the sidelines of the Egyptian-Saudi strategic dialogue that Cairo is continuing its unremitting efforts to bridge the views of the political forces in Sudan, by holding a Sudanese-Sudanese workshop in Cairo during the coming period.

Abdel Ghaffar denied what was reported by some media outlets about Egypt’s freezing of its efforts in this regard, explaining that supporting the choices of the Sudanese people to achieve their aspirations represents the goal of the Egyptian government and people.
