The IGAD envoy meets the Sudanese People’s Appeal Initiative

Sudan’s Special Envoy for Leadership Ismael Weiss said he wished the Sudanese consensus for a democratic transition.

IGAD has been working in partnership with the United Nations Mission and the African Union to facilitate dialogue among Sudanese political groups.

In press statements following today’s meeting, he said the Sudanese People’s Call for National Reconciliation initiative led by Sheikh Al-Tayeb Al-Jedd and Dr Badr said he had a message from Sheikh and Dr Badr that he would hand over to IQAD.

On his part, the Executive Director of the Sudanese People’s Appeal Initiative for National Consensus, Hashim Al-Tayeb Kabirullah, said that the meeting with the IGAD envoy agreed that the solution would be Sudanese.
