Guterres congratulates the Muslim world by Ramadan
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, on Wednesday congratulated the Muslim world on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, calling for this month to be used to build a “fairer and more equitable world.”
“I send my warmest wishes to Muslims around the world as they receive the holy month of Ramadan.”

Most Islamic countries receive the holy month on Thursday, with 15 Arab countries and Turkey announcing that Thursday, March 23, is the beginning of Ramadan.
