Dr. Hani Swailem We are working to strengthen ways of cooperation with Sudan
The Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Hani Swailem, affirmed that Egypt is working to enhance ways of joint cooperation in the field of water resources with its brothers in Sudan.
Upon arrival at Khartoum airport at the head of a high-level delegation from the ministry on a two-day visit, since assuming his duties of the Nile Basin countries, Swailem said that he is scheduled to discuss with the Sudanese acting Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources, Engineer Dawal-Bait Abdul-Rahman Mansour, means of enhancing the two countries’ cooperation in the field of water resources.
Dr. Hani Swailem stressed that the two sides will discuss progress of the work of the Permanent Joint Technical Commission for Nile Water, which is one of the oldest effective cooperation mechanisms between the two countries in the field of transboundary water resources.
